CARAVAN OF HEALTH FOR POPULATION IN THE VILLAGE

Prevention  Centre of  Health Center in Nis, in cooperation with the Palilula Municipality, in July, organized “CARAVAN OF HEALTH”. This time, health care will be closer to the population in the rural area of the Palilula Municipality. With plan of activities, preventive medical team of the Health Center in Nis began his medical mission in the settlement Pasi Poljana. The team of CARAVAN OF HEALTH performed a free examination of interested people in the premises of the old school in the period from 09:00 to 12:00 hours. It was performed: control blood pressure, blood sugar control, measurement of body weight and height, BMI-level determination of nutritional status, learning about the risk factors for the development of heart disease and vascular disease, diabetes and certain malignant diseases, consulting dietitian in order to prevent obesity; Education of self examination of breast on medical model in the prevention of breast cancer. A delegation of the Palilula Municipality, Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly and Slavoljub Savic, , head of Municipal administration associate visited the participants of activities and thanked the medical staff on previous cooperation. From 07.07.2010. team of doctors "caravan of health" will be in the Bubanj selo, 14.07.2010 in the village Cokot, 21/07/2010. in Mramor and 28/07/2010. in village Lalinac.
